Loch Nergens

Comments

A very simple scene, but I think it has a nice feel to it. It basically consists of a water plane and two terrains. The foreground terrain was based on a G2H map made in PhotoShop using KPT Fractal Explorer; I think it's a fragment of a Julia set, not that you can actually tell. The background terrain was made with the Blob Maker, eroded and carved up with the 'volcano crater' filter in the Terrain Editor.

High resolution is the key to this one; both terrains are on a 512 x 512 grid, which gives them the necessary degree of texture.
