This is another image inspired by the novel "Blindsight" by Peter Watts. Like my image, Exploring Rorschach, it features Amanda Bates and some of her robot 'grunts': multi-purpose military robots created by the fabrication units in the starship "Theseus". This image is intended to represent a scene from the closing pages of the novel, as "Theseus" turns out grunts in large numbers to meet an external threat.
The grunts and the passageway they occupy are modeled in Carrara. I used replicators to produce multiple instances of the basic grunt model. Lights along the passageway are also replicated, while a single bulb light adds a little additional contrast to the human figure's face.
