This image was made with Adobe Photoshop, using Kai's Power Tools and a few standard filters. I no longer remember exactly how it was made, but Kai's Texture Explorer and the Polar-to-Rectangular filter look as if they had a hand in it.
The name comes from the fact that about the time I made the image I'd seen an eclipse of the moon. As totality approached, the moon took on something of the same coppery colour as this.
