Another image inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs’s pulp ‘Barsoom’ novels. This one shows a thark, one of the many-armed green monsters who give Burroughs’ protagonists so much trouble at various points.
I originally wanted to make an image showing a thark, and Dejah Thoris, and possibly John Carter as well, but I couldn't make the scene work. So I made a separate image of Dejah Thoris and gave the thark a starring role in his own scene.
