Another in my apparently endless series of images inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs’ ‘Barsoom’ novels. The problem is that I keep coming across half-finished test images, and deciding to just play around with them some more. Many hours later -- another thark! Or another nearly-naked princess, another staple of the novels in question.

This image is stylistically a little different from the other images, with an almost photographic look created by heavy use of depth-of-field. I also dialed back the muscularity of the creature’s body in order to make the main and supplementary arms look a little more homogeneous.
