First steps with Terragen 4, a program with a learning curve so steep as to be almost vertical.
Most of the elements in the scene are taken from the rather minimal starter packs available for the software. The sky is a tweaked version of the ‘stormy_complex_clouds_with_fog’ preset (with the fog density dialed way down), the pine trees are from the starter model pack, and so forth.
It's not a particularly beautiful or impressive scene, but it's the first image that I've been able to make that actually looks like something. Credit for that, however, probably goes to the software rather than the artist.
