When I'm not playing around with 3D, I also write science-fiction. This image was designed as an illustration of one of my own works in progress, a cyberpunk-style story about two partners in a futuristic (and decayed) New York.
The image was originally made to be rendered using LuxRender (via the Reality plug-in). This didn't give me quite the look I wanted, so I left it for a long time. Much later, I decided to retexture it and re-render it using the Iray renderer in DAZ Studio. This worked much better.
Because the image was started so long ago, the figures are from DAZ's original Genesis line, rather than any of the newer generations. I actually think they look surprisingly good, despite that.
