This image began as an experiment using DZFire’s newly-released Nurnies Greebles Parts and Pieces (for those not familiar with the terms, nurnies and greebles were little bits and pieces that traditional physical modelers used to add to the models that they built to make them seem more ‘realistic’: there’s nothing like adding spurious detail to convey the idea of complexity and reality). I went a little crazy, building a space out of all the pieces I could find, and then texturing it rather crudely with some materials that I happened to have on hand.
Some time later I came back to the scene and added a human figure. The scene isn’t particularly complex or realistic and some of the texturing in particular doesn’t hold up. Still, it has a certain something to it.
