This is a variant of my Through the Jump Gate scene. I used the same models as in that scene, but substituted a different background, repositioned the models and relit it. The background this time is a Creative Commons licensed image from Pixabay.
The starship’s exhaust is a variant of the one used in the previous scene. However, I used a Mixer to fade the alpha channel by 50%, and placed bulb lights at the base of each ‘flame’. The bulbs are set to show a visible light sphere and have a glow effect. As a final touch, each light uses the Blue Flash lens flare effect at an intensity of 10%.
