The Frogship

Comments

This began as a wholly different image which, as usual, didn't work. The general texture and shape of the spaceship were nice though, and a scene slowly took shape around it.

The scene uses only Bryce primitives, appropriately Booleaned where necessary. There are a few stray lights around to drive up the render times, and the Booleaned hull of the spaceship actually encloses a transparent glass ellipsoid, not that you can actually tell. The city beneath is made from dozens of simple primitives: I should probably have done a better job on the buildings, but the elevated train tracks work well enough in combination with the reflective water. Can you find the monorail train?

The ship doesn't look particularly frog-like right now, but at an earlier stage when the cockpit was carved out with two silvered Boolean negative spheres it definitely did.
