This image began as an experiment with Carrara's volumetric clouds. I added some buildings from the Greeble City Blocks 2 set to create a simple cityscape, retexturing some of the buildings with Carrara shaders to get the look that I wanted.
The windows and control panel in the foreground were modeled in Carrara, using a mixture of primitives and spline models. The domed 'screen' on the left is a glass sphere with three tiny bulbs inside it.
